Permanent employee, Full-time · Hybrid - Berlin

Mission
Build products & services that our customers love. This role suits a seasoned expert who thrives in fast-paced, low-hierarchy environments and enjoys wearing multiple hats. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers & a product designer in a small, high-impact team that takes pride in crafting quality solutions for our customers.
Your focus
As the Product Manager Payroll, you will own the design, development, and delivery of Payroll features tailored for the German regulatory and tax environment. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, and operations teams to ensure Integral’s payroll engine remains accurate, scalable, and compliant.
Core responsibilities

  • Scope the problem: Together with engineering, you'll be leading key decisions around how to best solve the problem for our clients. Collaborate with the rest of the team to ensure a scalable product.
  • Ship value: Deliver payroll workflows that are correct, on time, and observable. Reduce manual steps, cut failure paths, and raise month end reliability.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience across multiple companies or domains, ideally including regulated spaces.
  • 5+ years in product management or equivalent hands-on product building.
  • Payroll domain or adjacent experience in Germany.
  • German fluency or equivalent.
Your profile

  • Proactive and taking initiative: You thrive in ambiguity, taking full ownership of challenges and creatively navigating toward effective solutions.
  • Eagerness and analytical thinking: Changing tasks & requirements excite you. You are able to think logically, break down complex problems and flexibly adapt in your daily work.
  • Ability to start from 0: You have taken products from 0 to 1 in the past.
  • Highly organized: You are highly organized, structured and reliable in your work.
  • Hands-on: In an early-stage company, there is no delegation. Most of the work needs to be done by all of us.
