Senior Product Manager (f/m/d)

Berlin
Full-time
Permanent employee

Mission

Integral was founded in October 2024 and is already one of the fastest-growing startups in Germany. We're building the leading AI-native platform for accounting, payroll, and tax for European SMEs, and we're looking for the sharpest people to help us get there.

As our Senior Product Manager, you own the design, development, and delivery of core product features in a fast-moving, low-hierarchy environment where shipping is the culture and quality is non-negotiable. You will work directly alongside senior engineers and product designers in a small, high-impact team. This is not a role for someone who manages decks. It is a role for someone who builds things customers love. This role follows an onsite schedule, requiring working with the team in our office in Berlin.

Core responsibilities

  • Understand the problem: work with clients and domain experts to deeply understand what needs to be solved for advisors and SMEs; iterate options with customers together with the Product Designer to ensure you build the right thing
  • Scope the solution: lead key decisions on sequencing and depth together with engineering; collaborate across the team to ensure scalability without over-engineering
  • Ship value: deliver accounting and payroll workflows that are correct, audit-ready, and observable; increase automation coverage, reduce exception handling, and shorten time to close
  • Own the roadmap for your area end-to-end: from discovery and prioritisation through to release and iteration
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Operations, and the founding team to keep Integral's core systems accurate and scalable.
What makes it special
  • Full ownership of a product area that is central to Integral's core value proposition
  • Direct collaboration with the CTO and a senior engineering team that ships fast and cares about craft
  • Early enough to shape how the product is built, not just what gets prioritised next sprint
  • Your work directly impacts thousands of SME founders across Germany who rely on Integral for their financial operations.

Your profile

  • 7+ years in product management with a strong track record of shipping in startup or scaleup environments where building was the main focus
  • Experience across multiple companies or domains; regulated spaces are a strong plus
  • Accounting, payroll, or adjacent domain experience in Germany; you do not need to be an accountant but you need to be able to become one quickly
  • Fluent German and English
  • You have taken products from 0 to 1 before and you know what that actually means
  • Proactive and ownership-driven: you thrive in ambiguity, navigate toward solutions without being directed, and do not wait for perfect information
  • Analytical and structured: you break down complex problems, think in systems, and bring clarity to messy domains
  • Hands-on by default: in an early-stage company there is little delegation; you do the work alongside the team
  • High standards without perfectionism: you ship, learn, and improve without sacrificing quality where it matters
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with DATEV, Agenda, or comparable German accounting and payroll platforms
  • Background working in or alongside a Steuerberatungskanzlei or WPG
  • Familiarity with German regulatory and tax requirements for SMEs and KMUs
